Self Archiving Policy of Journal of Research in Traditional Medicine (Last Updated on 10/07/2024)

Journal  is committed to maximising the visibility and impact of research published in our journal. To achieve this goal, we encourage authors to deposit their work in an open access repository. This policy outlines the types of articles and repositories that are compatible with our open access policy.


1. Depositable Versions

Authors may deposit the following versions of their articles in an open access repository:

  • Preprint: The original submitted version of the manuscript before peer review.
  • Author Accepted Manuscript (AAM): The version of the manuscript after peer review but before final typesetting by the publisher.
  • Published Version (Version of Record): The final, published version of the article that appears in the journal.


2. Repository Options

Authors may deposit their work in any reputable open access repository of their choice. This includes:

  • Institutional repositories affiliated with the author's university or research institution.
  • Subject-based repositories relevant to the field of the article.
  • Personal websites (with a clear link to the published version on the journal website).


3. Embargo Periods

There may be an embargo period before the deposited version becomes publicly accessible. The specific embargo period will depend on the type of article and the author's funding body requirements. Please consult the following resources for more information:

JRTM is committed to supporting open access and ensuring the widest possible dissemination of research published in our journal.


All articles published in Journal of Research in Traditional Medicine website are protected by copyright held by Likhita Medical Publication, Pvt. Ltd (or its subsidiaries). This copyright covers the exclusive rights to reproduce and distribute the article, including in electronic forms, reprints, translations, photographic reproductions, or similar. Except for articles published on an open access basis, the transfer of copyright to Likhita Medical Publication, Pvt. Ltd (or its subsidiaries) becomes effective when an article is accepted for publication.


As author of a journal article, you retain the rights detailed in the following:


The Digital Object Identifier (DOI) of your article can be found on the relevant webpage of Journal of Research in Traditional Medicine


The above permissions apply to authors whose articles are to be published by Journal of Research in Traditional Medicine and authors who have purchased a copy or received a complimentary copy of their published article. 


This policy does not apply to pay-per-view customers and subscribers, who should adhere to their respective agreed policies 

  1. The publisher-created version can only be posted where a gold access fee has been paid and the article contains an Open Access mark.

  2. You may post the preprint anywhere at any time, provided it is accompanied by the following acknowledgement:

Definitions:
  • "preprint" - a version of an article created prior to peer review 
  • "accepted author manuscript" - an author-created version of the final journal article (to reflect changes made in peer review and editing) 
  • "publisher-created version" - the definitive final record of published research that appears in the journal and embodies all value-adding publisher activities including copy-editing, formatting and pagination.
